Children with autism may experience <strong data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"298\">persistent difficulties in communication and social interaction<\/strong>, along with <strong data-start=\"311\" data-end=\"345\">repetitive and rigid behaviors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"348\" data-end=\"633\">Depression, on the other hand, is a <strong data-start=\"384\" data-end=\"401\">mood disorder<\/strong> that occurs when a person experiences prolonged feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest in life. It may also be accompanied by anxiety, changes in sleep or eating patterns, or even negative thoughts about oneself.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"638\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"663\"><strong data-start=\"644\" data-end=\"663\">KEY DIFFERENCES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"1037\">\n<li data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"861\">\n<p data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"861\">Children with autism often <strong data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"739\">do not naturally seek social interaction<\/strong>, not because they feel sad, but because they may not know how to communicate or may not feel the need to engage socially.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1037\">\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"1037\">People with depression <strong data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"936\">once had the ability to connect with others<\/strong>, but due to emotional exhaustion and loss of hope, they gradually withdraw from social interactions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1042\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1091\"><strong data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1091\">DIFFERENT CAUSES \u2013 DIFFERENT APPROACHES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1655\">\n<li data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1355\">\n<p data-start=\"1095\" data-end=\"1355\">Autism may be related to <strong data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1205\">genetic factors, differences in brain development, or conditions during pregnancy<\/strong>. It is a developmental condition present from early life, and <strong data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1306\">early and appropriate intervention<\/strong> can help children reach their optimal potential.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1655\">\n<p data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1655\">Depression often develops due to <strong data-start=\"1392\" data-end=\"1419\">psychological stressors<\/strong> such as prolonged pressure, loss, or emotional trauma. Although serious, depression <strong data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1534\">can be treated effectively<\/strong> if detected early and addressed with appropriate care (medication, psychotherapy, and supportive environmental changes).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1875\">Not every child who prefers to be alone has autism, and not every child who cries often, loses appetite, or avoids crowds is experiencing depression.
