We dedicate our work to serving special rights community in Vietnam, with high quality, and strong focus on supporting the lives and development of special rights children and their families, using international accredited and successfully proven methods.
Our services are conducted by certified Early Start Denver Model therapists. We aim to become a one-stop destination to serve our local and international autism community.
We offer developmental surveillance to children with high risk of developing autism, such as premature babies and children whose family members have been diagnosed with ASD, particularly siblings. The goal is to help children from 6 months old to develop the milestones on time, as well as guide parents on how to support their child in a functional way and be able to notice any warning signs at an early stage.
Following the most recently updated guidelines from The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), we offer developmental screening for all children at 9, 18 and 30 months old, plus autism-specific screening at 18 and 24 months of age. We combine specific tests with clinical observation of the child in order to detect any early signs as soon as possible to help the child on their pathway to normal development.
We offer a very early diagnosis for all children who have been screened positive for ASD, through a combination of the most reliable international play-based test, the ADOS-2, applied by internationally certified specialists, to provide accurate clinical evaluation and to conduct a structured interview with parents.
We offer an intensive intervention based on the Early Start Denver Model, applied by internationally certified therapists, and supervised by an international official expert to help each child develop age-related skills in all the areas of their development. We aim to develop the best potential of the child and reduce their challenging behaviors to the minimal level.
The most recent research shows that parents who receive coaching tend to have less stress, and their children have less severe autism traits later in life. We believe that parents play an important role in the child’s education and development progress. Our regular in-person and online sessions of parent coaching will support parents in learning how to interact with their special rights child and develop their full potential.
VICA offers specific training to all other schools in Vietnam to understand more about autism, to learn specific educational strategies and be able to make proper educational plans to support special rights children with academic and social skills in the school. We also offer child – individualized consulting to support teachers in a practical way and share our experiences to ensure the best learning outcome for the child.
